VFR OTT
The VFR OTT, also called VFR over the top, can be can be very useful to a private pilot without being constrained to fly below the clouds, especially when these are below 1000 feet. On the other hand it is necessary that the weather conditions on departure and arrival remain VFR at any time.
The formation is based on instrumental flight and on radio navigation aids (VOR, ADF et GPS). The hours carried out for the night rating are deductible from the minimum required.

Requirements
- Need a private pilot licence (including 5 hours of instrument flight time) and a valid medical certificate
- 10 hours of instrument flight time (including the use of radio navigation aids)
- A recommendation letter from the instructor in charge of the formation
