First solo
The first solo flight is the most important part of your training, it is the one you will remember throughout your pilot's life. For many pilots it is the consecration of a dream.
To do this you should be psychologically and technically prepared. You need the "Radiotelephone Operator's Restricted Certificate" and the "Student pilot permit". Click on "Student pilot" and follow the steps as indicated.
Ground school
You can start your formation with the ground school. It lasts for 45 hours with a schedule of 3 hours per night, 2 nights a week.
The ground school goes over different subjects such as: engines and systems, weather, navigation, air regulations and many other.
These courses are presented with the aid of a multimedia projector which makes them reachable to all, whatever the level of knowledge of the students. The students lead to Transport Canada for a written exam which the passing mark is 60%, but it is necessary to have at least 10 hours of flight with an instructor in order to be able to present yourself

Flight lessons

The flight formation goes at your own rate. You can start as soon as you wish and it's not necessary to get the ground school done to start the flight lessons. To get your private licence, 45 hours of flight are required and 25 hours for the recreational permit.
Those hours are divided into two portions: one with an instructor and one in solo.
The renting fees for the aircraft as well as the instructor fees can be paid gradually as you progress into your formation.
The St-Hubert airport has a control tower using a precision instrument approach for commercial flights. You will fly in a professional environment and whatever the winter weather, a runway is always cleared to allow commercial traffic to leave or return to St-Hubert anytime. The flight school benefits from this freedom of action to fly all year round.
