There is no minimum as flight time, your instructor is the only judge to certify if you are ready to pass the flight test or not.
The flight manoeuvres are at the level of a good private pilot with the difference that there are two engines to manage and a retractable landing gear. You will have to get to know your aircraft with the aid of the flight operating handbook and to manage breakdowns and urgencies.
Generalities
The multi-engine rating does not require a sophisticated aircraft. The goal is the management of the cockpit with an aircraft where the systems are doubled and to acquire the capacity to manage emergency situations.

- A flight test with an examiner from Transport Canada
