Generalities
The IFR single-engine formation can be done on both the aircraft and the Elite 5 or 7 simulator.
The training begins on simulator in order to be familiarized with the normal flight procedures and emergency procedures.
The flights begin only when the candidate reached a sufficient qualification level.
Requirements
- 40 hours of instrument flight time, which 50% can be done on the Elite 5 or 7 simulator
- 24 hours of ground school
- A written exam at Transport Canada
- A pre-flight test under the school supervision
- A flight test with an examiner of Transport Canada
Options
- 5 hours of formation on the use of a GPS is offered to the future professional or private pilots willing to enhance their knowledge
- English immersion during IFR navigation Quebec/Ontario
